Baby Boy scrapbook honest review with photos included of every page!

I got my printed artscow book today in the mail, it was wonderfully styrofoam wrapped and arrived very quickly from Hong Kong to Australia, Victoria. I ordered on the 12th July and it it now 21st July.
I really liked the texture of the pages and want to point out that the paper is a matte finish similar to what blurb uses. The other book leading publishers use gloss paper with their books.
For me I don't mind matte it's really a personal choice I think, My Mum can't stand gloss because the shine gets in the way of viewing the images and she is constantly needing to tilt the book to get rid ot those shine glows things. This book printed lighter than blurbs pages but I'm overall happy with the end result of the book and so are my family. I had a few issues, one of which is I really needed to make the bleed area longer on the cover and I should have double checked my grammar on the spine and dates! That will teach me for doing things so late at night!
I'm going to add a plastic pocket to the end page for my sons first curl and I'm stoked there was an extra page in there to do that with! Here are some photos:
Overall I am really very happy with my book and will reccommend them to everyone. I myself found some of these picture photo threads helped me to make up my mind on whether I wanted to go through with publishing a book with them and I hope you to can find this article helpful either way.
On a further note incase you were wondering; I used my Baby boy graphics from my digital scrapbooking kits available from my site.

Your Scrapbook is so wonderful, it kinda scarres me to start mine ;-)
I could use some help, it will be my first Scrapbook ever. Haven't done any at home either.
So if you have some helpful hints and tips for me, I would be so happy. I try to make a babybook about my two daughters (into one book)
How did you got your layout so nice? I didn't like the one artscow has online.
Where can I get this kit you talked about?
Thank you
The Newbee ;-)

Hello Vanessa, the last week has been a hell for me. I try to take time from my kids to work here with Artscow and the Photobooks and it seems I am stock. I try to get help from blushbutter, but they having always problems with there web site. I can't access them.
And my free Photobook is running out very soon.
I just would love to get the book at least half as nice as yours ;-) I just don't know where to start and where to get the right software to work with my girls pictures.
Thanks again for all your help.
Love your scrapbook, you are having a very nice family there.

Hi Ramona,
sorry about my website, the webhosters I host with decided to upgrade my webserver and it has meant my site has been down for the last four days! I'm not very happy about that but what can I do?!
About your questions in learning how to make your own pages from scratch, you do need a graphic software program. I reccomend starting with Adobe elements as it's fairly inexpensive and gives you lot's of control on shadows. Unfortunately if you use a graphic program you will need to do tutorials and workshops on how to get it to do what you invision , that will take some time. There are a tonne of tutorials for free on the www, try a google search. I reccommended a free program for you to see whether it was for you paint.net and using quickpages as that would give you the speed your after. Paint.net is very limited in what you can do using the software, but it's a good place to begin. My site seems to be working now and you can find a free quickpage to test work on with your photos here LINK

I noticed that the photobook now has a scrap theme to, did you check that out?!

Hello Vanessa,
Didn't know it was your web page ;-) Great way to advertise. Love your work.
But your web site is still under construction. Can't get in!
This all takes me forever, and my free book is just about to expire :-(
But thank you again for all your help.
