The WAR Wedding 8" x 8" Photo Books (Pictures included.)

Yay, I finally get to post something on the ArtsCow forum! This review is for two photo books I made using the ArtsCow designer with my wedding photos. Sorry if pictures I took of the finished product are a bit blurry or etcetera- keep in mind that the books are perfect in real life!
I ordered the books on July 11th, and I just received them half an hour ago, about ten days later. Given two days for processing, the shipping time to Florida where I live was within the 5-10 day period. Both photo books came wrapped within the same package, and there was no damage done to the books while in transit.
Opening the Package
While making my book, I tried to pay special attention to how the images could possibly be cut off during printing, so I made sure everything I wanted in a picture was away from the edges (thankfully, nothing got cut off at all!). I spent a lot of time going through photo book reviews done by others, and those were very helpful, especially the ones with pictures attached. I learned that some pictures could be cut off, and the placement of pictures on the pages (especially the front and back covers) was very important since the image can be shifted towards the right on the front cover, and towards the left on the back cover. My images did shift a bit, but I allowed enough room for fault that no one would notice. I also found that font sizes were too large in many previous books, so I chose a smaller size, one that was not cut off on the spine.
The Covers
The Spine
The only problems were ones I created myself. There were three instances in which the photo was not within the layout box properly, and it left a white line or a slightly noticeable shift.
Noticeable Space
White Line
Human error aside, I had no issues with the quality of the book. The pages were thick, the photos printed out finely with a matte finish, the book's construction was solid with pages sewn in place. There was a tiny bit of stringy glue on the back of one of the books, but that rubbed off easily. My favorite part of the book design, the 16 picture layout, was something I was unsure of, but it printed out very well and gave me the ability to show many pictures at once. The colors of the photos were not messed up in any way. They looked a bit dull, but really, everything was as the originals were. Also, I liked that I was able to take the page numbers off of these books. I have a photo book from Shutterfly that has our engagement photos, and the quality is similar between the two, but I do not like the page numbers on the Shutterfly one!

Barcodes on the Back Covers
Slight Glue on Back Cover
I will definitely be ordering from ArtsCow again in the future- these books showcase our wedding perfectly and are a great way for our families to remember a great event.

Thanks! I just used a front page layout that had a text box so I could put a title, and I moved my photo behind the template (avoiding the boxes the pictures are supposed to be in for the layout). Even without a layout, you can just add the picture to the front to make a full page cover.

this is absolutely stunning!! I love how you have displayed your book to , you really show the close up detail of the book. I didn't get a logo on my book on the back page, I wonder if that was a mistake of their's hmmm.
I'm sorry you mucked up the photo areas a little, but it's not so noticeable really unless you point it out :)
I like those 16photo layouts, they look fantastic, oh an I must try that 5 photo page to, your book is inspiring me, thank-you.
Can I suggest one thing that you might want to condier, would be to maybe blurr out your private address, so your not sent any junk mail. I'm not sure if this forum is open to public or not.
